The 2027 Liquid Force Current Wakeboard is Rivers Hedrick’s high-end park board, designed for riders who want a fast, responsive feel underfoot without giving up the flex needed for technical presses and feature riding.
Now entering its second season in the Liquid Force lineup, the Current was developed through extensive prototyping with Rivers and Liquid Force’s ADI program. The result is a board that stays lively and poppy through the center while remaining noticeably more pressable through the tip and tail.
The key is the CNC’d deck with recessed flex zones. By removing material strategically from the tip and tail, Liquid Force reduces weight and increases responsiveness without making the board feel soft or vague. The simplified base is designed for clean rail release and smooth slides, while curved channels running along the rail add grip when you need to set an edge.
A Hybrid 3-Stage rocker with a lower exit angle gives the Current a strong, reactive feel while keeping it efficient across the water. The flat-to-single concave hull creates a stable platform through the center of the board and helps the board lock onto rails without feeling overly sticky.
The Current is finished with Liquid Rails and a Sintered Grind Base, giving it the durability needed for repeated cable laps, rails, boxes, and kickers. It is also completely finless and built specifically around park riding.
